Well, the nice thing about publicly stating that you are going to get in shape, is that you are committed.
So tonight, after Becca left to run errands, I bundled up Eli and put him in the jogging stroller and off we went. He lasted about a mile before he stopped asking questions, at which point I stole back my MP3 player and made sure the blanket had him covered. Then I finished my first run in about 2 months.Oh, and to the person that told me that "competition" is the best motivator... you better hope I don't challenge you to a race (but seriously, that's not a bad idea)!
And by the way, thanks Dad!

You have ALWAYS been able to outrun me. So there would have to be more than one event. :)
You know, it's a hard blow to a man's ego, when he doesn't dare challenge a girl that's almost a foot shorter than him and maybe 100 lbs lighter, to a pushup/situp/river rafting/rock climbing/etc. event, because he's pretty sure that the girl will soundly kick his ass.
Does Becca know you feel this way about her?
Oh Zing!!!
I was talking about you - I remember you knocking out 90 or so push ups, during the ranger challenge...
Becca can "kick my a$$", but she wouldn't do it by out performing me in a physical competition - she would use a baseball bat and literally beat me to a pulp if I challenged her.
PS - I'm sure Becca will be along shortly to give you a high five for your comment - you women always stick together...
